A reliable evergreen shrub, commonly known as New Zealand hemp, well suited to UK gardens, grown for its red flowers in summer, autumn.
Growing to around 1m tall by 1m wide at 10 years. Happy in full sun on most soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. Reliably hardy across most of the UK. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
