Prunus avium 'Plena'
A first-rate deciduous tree, commonly known as Sweet cherry, offering real character in the landscape, valued for its fragrant flowers.
Expect it to reach around 10m tall by 6m wide at 10 years. Happy in full sun on most soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. Notable for good autumn colour and attractive orange bark. Fully hardy throughout the UK and valuable for wildlife, attracting bees and birds. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
