An excellent deciduous tree, commonly known as Sweet cherry, for structure and long-term presence, valued for its fragrant flowers.
Growing to around 10m tall by 3m wide at 10 years. Happy in full sun on most soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. Notable for good autumn colour and attractive orange bark and black fruits. Fully hardy throughout the UK and valuable for wildlife, attracting bees and birds. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
