A reliable evergreen shrub, commonly known as Common laurel, well suited to UK gardens, valued for its fragrant flowers.
Growing to around 2m tall by 2m wide at 10 years. Happy in sun or partial shade on most soils, and suits most soils from well-drained to damp. Reliably hardy across most of the UK and valuable for wildlife, attracting bees, birds and butterflies. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
