Pyracantha - Red berries

An attractive evergreen shrub, commonly known as Firethorn, that performs well in a range of garden settings, grown for its white flowers in spring, summer.

Expect it to reach around 3m tall by 4m wide at 10 years. Happy in full sun, though it tolerates some shade on most soils, and needs good drainage. Notable for red fruits. Fully hardy throughout the UK and valuable for wildlife, attracting bees, birds and butterflies.
