Common name: skimmia

Description: A compact, bushy evergreen shrub with glossy, dark green leaves that provide year-round structure to shady corners of the garden. Dense clusters of small, fragrant white flowers open in spring, and, when pollinated by a male skimmia such as 'Rubella', are followed by glossy red berries that persist right through the winter months.

Other benefits: low maintenance, long-lasting winter berry display, excellent for shaded borders, woodland planting and containers, tolerant of pollution
