Sorbus ulleungensis 'Olympic Flame'

A handsome deciduous tree, commonly known as Japanese rowan, that makes a fine specimen in the garden, prized for its autumn colour.

Reaching around 5m tall by 2.5m wide at 10 years. It is best in full sun, though it tolerates some shade, in acid to neutral soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. It produces white flowers in spring, with red fruits. Fully hardy throughout the UK and the fruits provide food for birds. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
