A reliable deciduous shrub, commonly known as Japanese spiraea, well suited to UK gardens, grown for its pink flowers in summer.
Growing to around 0.45m tall by 0.75m wide at 10 years. Happy in full sun on most soils, and prefers moisture-retentive soil. Fully hardy throughout the UK and the flowers are a good nectar source for bees.
