Wisteria sinensis 'Prolific'

An excellent deciduous climber, commonly known as Silky wisteria, for clothing vertical surfaces, prized for its very fragrant, soft blue-violet flowers.

It grows to around 9m tall with a spread of 9m. It is best in sun or partial shade, in neutral soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. Notable for grey fruits. Fully hardy throughout the UK and a useful plant for butterflies.
