Acer platanoides Princeton Gold ='Prigo' - 12 litre
A handsome deciduous tree, commonly known as Norway maple, that makes a fine specimen in the garden, notable for fine autumn tints.
Reaching around 8m tall by 8m wide at 10 years. Happy in full sun, though it tolerates some shade on most soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil and is drought-tolerant once established. It produces green flowers in spring, with attractive grey bark. Fully hardy throughout the UK and the flowers are a good nectar source for bees. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.

This heralds spring with bright yellow young foliage, the leave held on red stems (petioles). The colour fades to green for summer and takes on red or yellow tints in autumn before leaf fall. This makes a good upstanding tree and reaches substantial proportions with some rapidity. Suited to a very large garden and needs placing with care as it will form a substantial backdrop during the summer months. This stands around 20m (66ft) height with a 14m (46ft) spread when mature.
