An interesting evergreen succulent, commonly known as Pulque,, well suited to a range of garden conditions, providing year-round structure and foliage.
It grows to around 0.6m tall with a spread of 0.6m. It is best in full sun, in acid soils, and needs good drainage and is drought-tolerant once established. It produces white flowers. Hardy in sheltered gardens, benefiting from a warm wall or winter protection in colder spots. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
