Agave geminiflora
Common name: Twin-flowered agave
Description: Agave geminiflora is an elegant, fine-leaved agave producing a dense, spherical rosette of very narrow, dark green leaves edged with fine white threads that peel away naturally, adding to its ornamental character. It has a softer, more grass-like appearance than many agaves and lacks the aggressive marginal teeth of larger species, making it a more approachable plant for gardens and terraces. A particularly well-mannered specimen plant, it suits containers and sheltered courtyard settings.
Other benefits: excellent for containers, architectural specimen, drought tolerant, low maintenance, deer resistant, fine-textured foliage
Height & spread (approx.) at 10 years: 0.6m x 0.6m
Position: Full sun; sheltered, well-drained site; protect from prolonged wet and hard frost
Soil pH: Neutral; does well in most free-draining soils
Moisture: Drought tolerant; requires sharp drainage; avoid waterlogging
Winter hardiness: Cold hardy to approximately -5°C; best overwintered under cover in colder areas
