Cercis canadensis The Rising Sun ='JN2'
Common name: Rising Sun Redbud
Description: This spectacular redbud cultivar is renowned for its remarkable foliage display throughout the growing season. The heart-shaped leaves emerge in spring with vibrant apricot-orange tones, creating a glowing effect in the garden. As new growth continues, the foliage transitions through shades of golden-yellow before maturing to lime-green, resulting in a multi-coloured effect as different leaf ages appear simultaneously on the tree. In early spring, before the leaves emerge, the branches are covered with the typical rosy-pink, pea-like flowers of redbuds. The Rising Sun has a more compact, rounded habit than the species, making it suitable for smaller gardens and spaces.
