Description: This magnificent large evergreen or semi-evergreen shrub is one of the most spectacular berrying plants for British gardens, producing an absolutely stunning display of bright red berries from autumn well into winter. In early summer, the arching branches become covered in masses of small creamy-white flowers that attract hordes of bees and other pollinators, creating an impressive buzz of activity. Following the flowers, the plant develops enormous clusters of large, brilliant red berries that weigh down the branches in spectacular fashion, often persisting well into the new year. The display is so profuse that the entire plant can appear to glow red from a distance.
