An excellent evergreen tree, commonly known as Gum tree, for structure and long-term presence, prized for its sweetly scented white blooms.
Growing to around 10m tall by 4m wide at 10 years. It is best in partial to light shade, in acid to neutral soils, and needs good drainage and is drought-tolerant once established. Notable for attractive white bark. Reliably hardy across most of the UK. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
