Ilex aquifolium 'Pyramidalis' (f)

A handsome evergreen large shrub or small tree, commonly known as Self-fertile variety, that makes a fine specimen in the garden, providing year-round structure and foliage.

Reaching around 3m tall by 1.5m wide at 10 years. Happy in sun or partial shade on most soils, and copes well in dry shade and is drought-tolerant once established. Notable for red fruits. Fully hardy throughout the UK and valuable for wildlife, attracting bees, birds and butterflies. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
