Potentilla fruticosa 'Elizabeth'

An attractive deciduous shrub that performs well in a range of garden settings, grown for its bright yellow flowers in summer, autumn.

Expect it to reach around 0.8m tall by 1.2m wide at 10 years. Happy in full sun, though it tolerates some shade on most soils, and needs good drainage and is drought-tolerant once established. Fully hardy throughout the UK and valuable for wildlife, attracting bees and butterflies.
