A garden-worthy deciduous herbaceous perennial, commonly known as Sea cabbage,, easy to establish and generous in flower.

It grows to around 0.4m tall with a spread of 0.5m. It is best in full sun, in alkaline to neutral soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. Hardy in sheltered gardens, benefiting from a warm wall or winter protection in colder spots.
