Spiraea japonica 'Little Princess'

Common name: Little Princess Spirea

Description: This charming compact spirea is perfect for bringing colour and structure to smaller gardens. The naturally neat, rounded mound of fine-textured foliage creates an attractive low shrub that requires minimal pruning. In early to mid-summer, the plant becomes smothered in flat clusters of rose-pink flowers that create a vibrant display for several weeks. The small, neat leaves emerge fresh green in spring and often develop attractive bronze and orange tints in autumn, providing multi-season interest. 'Little Princess' has a dense, twiggy growth habit that creates excellent ground cover or can be used for low informal hedging. This trouble-free deciduous shrub is ideal for front-of-border positions, rock gardens, or containers where its compact size and long flowering season are particularly valued.
